My design career started at junior school, painting ghostbusters badges and selling to friends in the playground, it's all I've wanted to do.

After studying Graphic Design at Falmouth School of Art, I landed my first agency role creating point-of-sale and graphics for the games industry — right at the dawn of the PlayStation era. That early taste of high-energy, culture-driven work led me to Attik, one of the most celebrated design studios in the world, where things moved quickly. The role took me to New York, then Sydney, where I helped establish their studio in the heart of the city.

It was in Sydney that my focus broadened. Alongside brand work, I began designing TV network branding, idents and commercials — spending time in post-production and developing a genuine passion for motion design and animation that's stayed with me ever since. I went on to join The Lab Sydney as Design Director, deepening my craft in After Effects, 3D and directing.

In 2002 I moved back to the UK working for some of the top Design and Advertising agencies in the North of England including Propaganda, DS.Emotion and Iris associates working in beauty, tech, property, finance, sports, automotive, entertainment, drinks and public sectors.

In 2007, I made the move into freelancing. No two days are the same, and that's exactly how I like it. Some of the clients I work with now are the same ones I started with — which I'd like to think says something about how I work, and hopefully, what it's like to work with me.

I stay close to what's current — not just following trends but looking to shape them — constantly learning and folding new skills into the work. Away from the screen, you'll find me with a camera (architecture is a particular obsession), on a bike, out on a run, or just seeing the sites.
